Utilize Government Health Clinics to save Tons of Money
Be honest. How often have you used Government Health Clinics (Klinik Kesihatan) as your local GP when you're sick. For those with children, you woud've been introduced with nurses visiting your baby and maybe the few of you taking advantage of the free vaccinations..
The majority of Malaysians would've been totally unaware of the vurtually free service funded by tax payers money. All your pay is $1 for registration with your MyKad/MyKid identification card and subsequent medications prescribed by doctor are FREE of charge!
Many have company insurances and only deal with private clinics and hospitals even with co-payment cost a bomb. Everyone gets sick sometimes and imagine 10 visits over the year averaging hundreds to thousands of riinggit. Compound that with the number of family members you have getting sick, the money savings are enormous!
For those with high cholestrol and high blood pressure needing medication daily, the free medication is also provided after seeing the doctor for yes RM$1. Many are not aware of this health benefits and paying thousands monthly for medication out of own pocket which may be saved.
Many worry about poor and slow service but personally I've gone in and out of my local health clinic within the hour getting good professional service. So, do give it a try and you may be pleasantly surprised while saving tons of money at the same time.
